About Lunar Bloom Doula

Hi!  My name is Sage Siera, mother of Lunar Bloom Doula. My greatest passion is honoring and worshiping the divinity I see through the cycles of life and death and rebirth. I feed the flame of this passion through my birth work, crafting herbal remedies, and creating reflective, ritual experiences for myself and my loved ones. 

Since I was a child, I've been fascinated with birth and mothering. When I discovered the term doula, I dove straight into my own self studies, as well as taking several courses to gain the skills needed to serve in the birth space. Through my work as a doula I have found the deepest states of flow, fulfillment and purpose I've ever experienced. 

I discovered herbalism at the same time I discovered doula work, and I felt an immediate kindred connection with the plants I worked with and the ways I could engage my senses in the craft. Herbs have helped me heal my body and spirit, and I love sharing my passion for plants with others. For me, herbalism is a joyful service to the earth and my community as well as a devotional act of ritual and gratitude to the natural world.

River Mckenzie, who introduced me to the term doula, inspired me to follow my intuitive connection to the plants, and was my herbalist, guide and friend at the beginning of my health journey.

Daphne Singingtree, whose internship infused me with a passion for herbalism and midwifery, through an indigenous lens.

Grandmother Indigo Jewel, who taught me me how to hold a ritual fire, to honor the cycles of the moon, and to be present with the beauty of a garden.

Carrie Decker of Big Belly Services and Mama Shafia Monroe of SMC Doulas, who taught me how to show up at a birth grounded and compassionate and strong.
